The Address Book feature allows customers to store and manage multiple shipping and billing addresses for streamlined checkout experiences. Customers can:
- Add unlimited addresses with detailed fields including apartment/unit numbers, landmarks, and delivery instructions
- Designate default shipping and billing addresses
- Label addresses for easy identification (Home, Work, Parents, etc.)
- Import addresses from previous orders
During checkout, customers can select from saved addresses or add a new one that can optionally be saved to their address book. The system supports international addresses with country-specific formatting and verification. For security, changes to the address book from unrecognized devices may require additional verification steps. Address validation helps prevent delivery issues by flagging potential formatting problems or incomplete information.
